Resignation Policy

Outlines the steps and requirements for submitting a resignation at Gear Inc.

Employees need to inform their direct managers in advance about their intention to resign and the last working day. The specific notice periods are as follows:

– For employees under probationary contracts, interns, and part-time employees: a minimum of 3 days’ notice.

– For employees under fixed-term contracts of 12 – 36 months: a minimum of 30 days’ notice.

– For employees under indefinite-term contracts: a minimum of 45 days’ notice.

Resignation Procedure:

Within one week before your resignation, the HR department will contact the employee to conduct an Exit Interview and sign related documents. Specifically:

– Exit Interview: This session aims to help the HR department listen to employee’s feedback about work experience at Gear Inc. This is to help the company understand and contribute to creating an ever-improving work environment. We believe that with employee’s experience at Gear Inc., employees will have valuable insights to assist the company in this continuous improvement journey.

– Paperwork: During our meeting, the employee will sign related documents to complete the resignation process (Contract Termination).

– Handover Company Assets: To facilitate this process, please return the following company assets on your last working day:

Employee card and vehicle card: Hand over to the GA Team.

Work computer and other devices (if any): Hand over to the IT Team.

Information about Benefits and Obligations:

Salary: the employee will be paid up to the last confirmed working day. If any leave arises during the handover period, please inform your manager as soon as possible. The salary will be paid on the last day of the resignation month.

Annual Leave: For accumulated leaves, the company will settle and pay (if the employee has remaining leave days) or deduct from the final month’s salary (if the employee has used more than the accumulated leave).

Insurance (applying for employees who are participating in social insurance at the company): The employee will receive social and health insurance up to the last confirmed working day as per the specified insurance laws. The company will finalize the social insurance book, which typically takes about 30 days for the Social Insurance Agency to complete. Once we receive the booklet from the Social Insurance Agency, HR will contact you for collection. Please return your Social Insurance book to the HR department on time
